2019 Firefighter: Understanding Your Final Score

Click here for an explanation of how your final score was calculated.

We are currently NOT accepting applications for Firefighter. Candidates who are interested in being notified when we are accepting applications can register on our main employment page.

We realize that the process to become a Firefighter can be overwhelming, and here at the City of Omaha, we want to help all our candidates navigate through this  process successfully.  Additionally, as candidates work towards a career in public safety as a first responder,  we recognize that candidates (and their families) have a lot of concerns,  questions and uncertainties about what to expect.  Our hope is that this website will serve as an additional resource to help answer some of those questions, concerns and uncertainties.
